We Are Winners!!!

8th October 2024 saw the finalists for the Doncaster St Leger Tenants Awards gather to celebrate a great year of volunteering and providing service to the St Leger tenants. 

Unbeknown to Adventuring Angels we had been shortlisted for the Community Wellbeing Award and had a place round the table for a day of entertainment and celebration.

The morning was full of excitement and the air was electric, coffee was flowing and it was great to learn about so many worthy initiatives that were happening on the doorsteps of Doncaster. 

Our category was soon to be announced, the nerve wracking walk to the front of the room and the wait for the announcement went on for ages. We won the award!!! Totally speechless and utterly honoured to receive the award on behalf of all the volunteers, organisations and supporters.  A a huge thank you to the people who nominated us. 

To be nominated was a privelidge, to be shortlisted was an honour, to win was so humbling and rendered me speechless.

Here's to the next 12 months and whatever that brings...
